What do you give the person who has everything?
Honor them with a gift to the Family Resource Center. Donate $1.00 for every candle on their cake. Your entire donation (100%) goes to help the students and parents of Alcoa City Schools. Contact the FRC at (865) 984-0531 ext. 411 to honor that special person.
“The Family Resource Center assists low-income students and their families with everything from glasses and shoes, to school supplies, to payment of utility bills — anything that a child doesn’t have and cannot afford, but needs to learn.” Glenda Thomas, Alcoa City Schools Family Resource Center’s Director.
Order a ‘Smokies Strong’ t-shirt and all proceeds benefits Red Cross East TN in assisting Gatlinburg wildfire victims.
Tennessee Promise is more than a scholarship. Its success is built on a student support system. tnAchieves needs 3,000 more volunteer mentors by November 20 (two weeks from today!) to spend one hour per month working with 60,000 Tennessee Promise seniors.

As we express our appreciation for our veterans on this day, let’s be mindful of our commitment to honor and assist them the rest of the year. You can donate time, money, or services to a variety of programs established to assist veterans every day. You can even donate those frequent flyer miles you’ll never have time to use, a vehicle of any condition, or sponsor a service dog!
